Eligibility Criteria: Who Can Apply?
For HPSC PGT Computer Science Recruitment 2026, applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria as of March 9, 2026:
1. Educational Qualifications
Degree: M.Sc. Computer Science (2-year regular), MCA (3-year regular), or B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/IT (regular).
Marks: Minimum 55% aggregate marks (52.25% for SC and PwBD candidates of Haryana).
Certification: Should possess valid certification for having qualified the HTET (Haryana Teachers Eligibility Test) or STET (School Teachers Eligibility Test).
Language: Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or 10+2/B.A./M.A. with Hindi as one of the subjects.
2. Age Limit
Minimum Age: 18 years.
Maximum Age: 42 years.
Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC and BC of Haryana, and up to 52 years for PwBD candidates.
Selection Process & Exam Pattern
The selection process is divided into three challenging levels that will test your basic subject knowledge and teaching skills:
Screening Test: 100 objective-type MCQs for 100 marks.
Time Duration: 2 Hours.
Negative Marking: 0.25 mark for each wrong answer.
Qualifying Marks: Minimum 25% required to proceed.
Subject Knowledge Test: A descriptive-style exam for 150 marks.
Time Duration: 3 Hours.
Weightage: This level has 87.5% weightage in final selection.
Interview/Viva: Shortlisted candidates from the subject test will be called for an interview that carries 12.5% weightage.
Application Fee Structure
Applicants are required to pay the fee online through Net Banking or Debit/Credit Cards.
General/UR (Male) & Other State Candidates: ₹1,000.
Female Candidates (Haryana): ₹250.
SC/BC-A/BC-B/EWS/ESM (Haryana): ₹250.
PwBD (Haryana domicile, ≥40% disability): NIL.

Salary & Career Growth
Selected candidates will be appointed in the Level-8 Pay Scale ranging from ₹47,600 to ₹1,51,100. Along with this attractive salary, PGTs are also entitled to various allowances as per Haryana Government norms, including medical and pension facilities.
